How do you want your brand to be known? How do you want your audience to perceive your company? Do you have a certain message to get across to the public? Every company must answer these questions to have effective branding. Apple, for example, built its brand on the passion and innovation of its founder, and it gained recognition for meeting the wants and needs of modern consumers.

Define your audience and which media they are actively on. Figure out their habits, attitudes, interests and opinions. Essentially you want to become them and know what makes them tick. Without strategy you are blindly testing the waters with no direction. Just as an army wins a war by strategic planning, a company reaches their goals by having a game-plan and executing. Proper Planning  Prevents Poor Performance.
